DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:

The Sahel region faces climate challenges that worsen food security, with Senegal and Kaffrine particularly affected. The project aims to improve food security and income for communities in Kaffrine through sustainable agricultural practices, livestock improvement, planting micro-gardens and fruit trees, and training in climate resilient techniques. Direct beneficiaries include small farmers, vulnerable women, and students, with a focus on nutritious and sustainable food. The replicable approach may be adopted in other regions of Senegal and the Sahel.
